Stegreif: A bike shed for the "Heimgärten"
n the context of a current research project, this semester we will be working on an impromptu design for a bicycle shed for the listed 1920s housing estate "In den Heimgärten" in Aachen Burtscheid.
The impromptu design will take place in the second half of the semester. Dates will be communicated after registration.
The course will start with a tour of the settlement and the handing out of the assignment. The impromptu design will then be worked on unsupervised in a short time frame. The final presentation will take place in front of external guest critics such as Monika Krücken, Head of the Historic Preservation Department of the City of Aachen, as well as residents of the settlement.
